The work on my basement has just been completed, but based on what I have seen, the job was completed correctly and on time. I reached out to this company after I received a super highly unreasonable quote from "Mid Atlantic Water proofing" company. I called Affordable Basement Waterproofing & initially spoke with Jay regarding getting a second opinion from this company. She was able to send an inspector (George) out within 24 hours who deemed that additional waterproofing for my house was not warranted. I was having a lot of leaks in my basement and I got a few quotes Affordable was the company I decided to go with. They had the nicest phone staff and their salesman was nice and honest. It took a little bit to get on their books because they were busy, but once they started they finished quickly. So far, no leaks. I would definitely recommend them

Been waiting for an estimate for 2 weeks. Never got it. Office said they would send and still no estimate. All talk. Now I’m process of looking for another company. I have since spoken with Jai who apologized for the late contract and stated this was a different type of work she needed to get authorized for. As the below reviews say, call Kelly or Jai! My basement has not leaked it has been at least 3 heavy rains. They installed my drywall and did the Waterproofing. This was a great experience. The only negative thing I have to say is the office stay is very dry and has no idea what they are talking about, they will tell you that on the phone (sorry I don’t know, I just pick up the phones, or they leave you on a long hold) very unprofessional. Once I got to talk to Kelly and Jai they pretty much made up for that, call and ask for one of those gals and they will make sure this process is a success. I wish I had saw the reviews before calling. Jai calls to confirm the night before and does a few follow ups after, she got my correct address and more information, Kelly called the day of install to let me know of a price change and to tell me the Forman was running late. We did not choose this company. Salesman very high pressured, since then they have called me and I’ve spoken with Jai, wish she had called me sooner. The company I chose has damaged my walls, floors and I now need a new wall. Jai offered to come out and give me another estimate but I am very hesitant. I give them 5 starts for the office effort they have. The morning lady is very dead and boring but once you get to talk to Jai or Kelly who’s the GM they try to work with you. Once I sue waterproofer I’ll call them back for another estimate and to fix my walls, until talking to Jai I didn’t know they did stairs, but I need stairs and a new wall now. Please call and ask for another salesman if you don’t like the one they send. They will work with you. Only speak to Kelly or Jai, they know what they are doing!

Choose this company! Jai & Kelly are amazing! I didn’t buy ONLY because I sold my home but I did inform the new homeowners of this company! These girls are amazing! They cater to your every need, make you feel like you are home when you call, understand your needs and problems and I never had to question their loyalty. The morning person who answers the phone and the guy really do no not understand Waterproofing but Kelly & Jai are awesome, always ask for them and if they are busy, leave your name and number they will definitely call back. I contacted them in Nov 2018 and I knew I wanted to buy after making my appointment. Even after I didn’t buy Jai still called to make sure I was “okay” and had everything I needed for closing. I called in December and got both Jai and Kelly who were on vacation and they still got my information pulled up and helped me with more questions I had. 4 other companies tried to tell me awful things about this company, one even showing me their person facebooks and their business Facebook.. DONT BELIEVE IT! These are people using it to scam you! Always look into the company you have coming to your home, ask for pictures, business certificates and MHIC numbers. Thanks to Kelly, Jai and George I know what to look for if I buy another home and I’ll definitely call them back. This is the only company who did not pressure me to have my husband home, who did not charge me because they knew I was selling my home, they didn’t force me to sign and they didn’t ask me why my husband could not be here. Jai is super helpful! I had reached out regarding a basement inspection that was of an urgent nature since I was going to close on a house in less than a week. Jai was able to send George out the very next day to inspect! George is very knowledgeable and can explain what's wrong and what's not in a very easy to understand manner. I called affordable to help out my parents home in severn. Their basement has been leaking for 22 years. I had 3 companies come out to their home and I met them with mom and dad. I picked affordable because they were licensed and the inspector was licensed. The company action sent out a man who smelled of alcohol and other company all aspects sent out an inspector who was not licensed. Do your homework. My parents have a dry basement and I am at peace knowing this every day.

My basement had been leaking for over 25 years and I honestly knew it needed to be fixed. During the storm in August 2018 my crawlspace flooded on Gravel Run Rd. in Grasonville. To my surprise my insulation was destroyed as well. I called Affordable Basement for help. Ken S. came to our home and explained what needed to be done to get our crawlspace dry. The office staff was very helpful and helped us get financing for our project. Joe and Dorsey explained the steps that needed to be done to get some order back in my crawlspace, I can go on and on about this company but what stands out the most is there was definitely a team effort from everyone in this company including Angela who delivered our permits and sat at our property waiting for the inspector so I did not have to take off work. What I want everyone to know is I initially called for a flooded crawlspace and ended up with a dry crawlspace and new insulation. I wish I would have called them first.

So happy with my dry basement. Jai worked super hard for me to get financed and then she waited 4 weeks for me to get a loan from my bank, once I got the loan I called her, she already had a date for me and told me we were set in stone. The inspector called me 6 times before I finally asked him to leave me alone, I was comfortable was Jai. I think they need to let the office take care of calling people and contracts. I had underground water coming into my basement from an unknown source. The men dug a trench along the back wall and put in a French drain that went to a sump pump that they installed. They cleaned all of the work area and dried all of the water on the floor. My home was well protected from all work generated dirt and refuse. I am very impressed and I give them my highest recommendation. I would definitely hire this company again. The sales rep was knowledgeable and explained what needed to be done leaving no questions unanswered.

Service from top to bottom was wonderful. The project manager (Ken) visited to give us a estimate and he was very thorough in his explanation of what we needed. Jai the project coordinator assisted us in getting our date changed and kept us informed throughout the process. The Prices were fair and the guarantees that they offer makes them hard to match.

In June 2018 my crawlspace had 9 inches of water below my first floor, as a mother of 3 small children I started to panic. Four companies called me from Home Advisor and I gravitated towards the Affordable, I spoke with Jay and she made me feel very comfortable when applying for my financing, she gave my husband and me several different options to choose from. George was the only inspector that crawled underneath our home with the amount of standing water that was present, no other inspector took the time to do this. They sent Joe and his crew to perform the work, the bonus was the foreman Joe lives on the Eastern Shore which made me feel very comfortable considering most companies travel over the bridge to perform work. I don't know how they did this work considering the circumstances however once the job was finished, I received a packet with before, during and after pictures of the job. My crawlspace is now nice and dry. I am so grateful this company made our home safe and dry.

I hired Affordable over 2 other Waterproofing companies in the area. What I liked about the company was very simple. They were very passionate to help my family under the circumstances of my flooded basement. My wife is very pregnant and Kelly let us keep the negative air machine for 2 weeks to scrub the air and dust. The project took a week and even though the county took a couple days to come out and inspect my home it gave me reassurance that the job was installed correctly. I called late one night because my schedule changed for work and Jai answered the phone. I was truly expecting her to be an answering service. It has rained and snowed for 3 weeks and my basement is bone dry! Do not be fooled by sales tactics and gadgets. Go with Affordable for there superb customer service and hard-working employees who truly care about their customers.

I called Affordable on a Sunday evening and Kelly the GM picked up. I was in tears telling her my basement was flooded with two inches of water, I live in Baltimore City and just brought my home 3 months prior. She immediately set up an emergency appointment the very next day with George. George made me feel very comfortable in moving forward with Affordable. Three other companies came out to my home and never offered to pull a permit. George was the only one who recommended a permit. Vince did a beautiful job and took the extra time to clean. Very ethical and trustworthy! We just moved into our house a few months ago. After the first snow, water was trickling into the floor in our basement. Ken came to our place to check it out and made an assessment right away that it was a water main break rather than groundwater. We didn't need water proofing services afterall. The county came several times and tested the water - it was a water main break. Then they were able to find the leak!! Problem solved no more water.

They had workers at my home within the week, & finished the job in 2 days. Everyone I dealt with, from the estimator, to the work crew, to the office staff were professional, pleasant, knowledgeable and honest. Work done was top-notch and solved the problem that 2 other "professionals" were unable to. The crew showed up on time, and worked diligently until they reached the point when a county inspector was required. Once the work was cleared, they promptly came back in and finished the project. Although my project was a small one, everyone involved treated it as one would expect them to treat a larger one. It's refreshing to work with a contractor who does exactly what they're supposed to do. I recommend them highly. Update: Changed their rating from 5 stars after looking over the room that they worked in. I noticed black gunk on the side of my white furniture and globs of it on my carpet. Also, I doubt that they set up a containment for dust control since concrete dust now covers everything in the room and has been blown through the heating system into the main level. I now have to pay for cleanup and vent cleaning. I tried contacting them by phone but they have not returned my calls.

They were prompt and completed the work in one day, even though they had to work into the evening. They were courteous, clean and professional. They did advise that they would have to remove a portion of the wall to gain access to the problem area and were not going to replace it. I did not realize at the time just how much time and work would be required to restore the basement to its previous condition. Not their fault, but something that people should be aware of.

The cost of the project was realistic and reasonable as I did comparative analysis with 2 other waterproofing companies that were outrageously over priced for the same services I received from Affordable Basement. I strongly recommend this company for the work ethics and the process they provide to waterproof my basement. In fact this project was done for my rental that is under contract for sale the end of June 2015 and I just recently had Affordable come to our primary home to perform the same services at a reasonable, realistic cost.

We had water substantial water issues from our fully finished walk-out lower level. Two other contractors had solutions that included major inside demo and digging. One contractor wanted a sump pump installed with a 20 foot long trench; the other called for a 10 foot trench, but included digging up my neighbors patio.

Ken from Affordable correctly identified the source of seepage, and came up with a solution that prevents water from getting inside in the first place. His team did major external excavation, filled in and sealed the foundation walls, and put in a subterranean runoff drain to take excess water down the hill behind our house.

The entire Affordable team was terrific - Ken, the office team and the crew were uniformly excellent. It has rained heavily several times since they fixed the problem, and the lower level is bone dry. And no inside work at all!

We had a perfect experience. They were able to come out a full month before other companies in the area, and they devised a much better and less invasive solution for our waterproofing. The gentlemen that did the work were wonderfully professional and courteous, and they left the area cleaner than we could have expected. A great company!

They were prompt and completed the work in one day, even though they had to work into the evening. They were courteous, clean and professional. They did advise that they would have to remove a portion of the wall to gain access to the problem area and were not going to replace it. I did not realize at the time just how much time and work would be required to restore the basement to its previous condition. Not their fault, but something that people should be aware of.

We have been working with Affordable for a couple of years now. To put it lightly, we have the basement from hell. When they arrived, we had some water in the basement and they quoted us based on their normal pricing. Once the concrete came up, we couldn't believe what we were dealing with. It is a constant flow of water that required two sump pits and an insane amount of work to install our drainage system. Every time they tried to dig a pit it would backfill with sand and water- they had to dig this up painstakingly- foot by foot. We thought for sure we were in for additional costs, but they stuck by the original estimate.

Since then, any time we have had an issue or a question, they are quick to answer. Poor Kelly and Bobby probably recognize our number on the caller ID but whenever we make a call or send an email, we always get a response- usually with a visit on the same day. We highly recommend this company for their honesty, customer service, and quality work.

Affordable Basement Waterproofing Inc. came to my home & quickly summed up what we needed to do to stop water from seeping through the concrete floor.
They had workers at my home within the week, & finished the job in 2 days.
Very prfessional from start to finish, fair price, & were extremly careful to keep my home as clean as they could when they were bringing in equipment, jackhammering concrete, etc. I would absolutley reccomend this company.
